Essential requirements for a successful eVisa application

General Requirements

Before applying for an Ethiopia eVisa, all applicants must ensure they meet the following general requirements:

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity from the planned date of entry into Ethiopia
  • Recent digital photograph meeting the specified requirements
  • Valid email address to receive the approved eVisa
  • Credit or debit card for online payment of visa fees

Note: Religious head coverings are permitted as long as the full face is visible from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead.

  • Exit date: Planned date of departure from Ethiopia

  • Accommodation: Hotel or residence address in Ethiopia
